I woke up this morning desperately yearning for a Premier Inn buffet breakfast in which I have not indulged for more than 5 months. It used to to be the perfect start to one in every four Saturdays. So, jeopardize my progress over the last few months or have my usual luxury weekend porridge?! I lay in bed AGONIZING over the choice and then decided to make my own!
Just had it and it was delicious (although the mushrooms could have had more flavour). The question now is, will it last me until 4pm which is what normally happens when I have the Premier Inn breakfast...
It consisted of:
1 Egg - 1 tbsp of whole milk whisked in and fried in 5g of garlic spread/butter) = 123KCal
100g mushrooms with 75 g red onions, fried in 5 g of garlic spread/butter and seasoned with veggie cube and dried herbs and a 1tsp of balsamic vinegar = 72kCal
60g tinned vienna sausages (from the Caribbean section) grilled - 111kCal
5 plum tomatoes sprayed with one cal oil and grilled - 17 cal
1 slice of wholewheat bread - 78kCal
100ml OJ - 24kCal
Total - 425kCal (one calorie under my luxury weekend porridge! Result, methinks!!)
