Hi everyone! I'm another new starter. I decided this morning that I should take the plunge and introduce myself. I have about four stone excess baggage that has crept up on me while I wasn't looking - so really need to do something about it before I hit the big 50 in 13 months time. I had a chunk of stomach removed in 2015 and follow up surgery last year. I supspect that the amount of lazing around while 'recovering' didn't help but it's no use crying over empty chocolate wrappers... I have never actually tried a diet before (I believe I was born without the willpower gene) but having read some inspiring posts highlighting both what can be achieved and the amazing support out there, I think it's about time I had the sofa surgically removed and got going. I reckon it's going to be a long road ahead but hope that with a little help and a large dose of self motivation, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
