Have been doing the 5:2 diet for 4 weeks now (am on the 5th) and I have to say it's the diet for me. I have lost a total of 3 pounds: 1.6 in the first week, 1.6 in the second week, stayed the same in the third week and lost 0.2 on the fourth week. Not as much as I would have liked to lose, but definitely a start! For me, it took a couple of weeks to get into the swing of it and get used to fasting. I now find my fast days really easy, and am definitely eating less on my non fast days due to a smaller appetite. I've had a slow start in terms of actual weight loss but I'm in the right mentality to keep it up, and that's what matters (in my opinion!). I have 2 stone and 8 pounds to lose, hopefully this year!
