Could use a few prayers

I wasn't going to ask, but I'm scared. The son who shares my kitchen and bathroom has Covid. So far, he's doing well with OTC meds, and I'm the same as always. The thing is, we lost my dad to this back before they even started tracking it. I'm trying to focus on the neighbors and relatives who had mild versions, even the ones who weren't vaccinated, but this is one of those illnesses where you just never know how it's going to affect you.

I should have added the part where my Idiot Mother popped in for coffee on Sunday, knowing that he was sick but before he'd gone to the clinic to have Covid verified. I wasn't expecting her, and I'm kicking myself for not locking her out.

My husband had covid the other Christmas, and he was a bit scared of passing it onto me. I had an ocrevus infusion a few weeks before he tested positive, and I told him that if I'd caught it, I'd be coming down with symptoms about that time too, because we slept in the same bed! I kept testing negative, and I think it's because I caught it earlier that year, and my only symptom really was sleeping a lot more. I essentially nursed him back to health ❤️ we bought alcohol gel, paracetamol, and ibuprofen for him, as well as cough medicine, and he beat the infection within the month. Sure, we had to miss our Christmas meal with my family, but his mum, who lives about a 10 min drive away, brought us a Christmas meal, all dished up in tupperware so we could microwave it. Husband is thankful that he's automatically able to get a covid vax, because he's technically my carer when he's not at work.

All I can do is send prayers. So that is what I will do. Take care.

Sending prayers your way.. my hubby caught Covid while traveling and brought it home to me.. I slept right beside him and helped nurse him back to health.. I had all of my boosters on board.. I was fortunate and did not get sick.. we missed thanksgiving with the family that year and our daughter got trapped at home as she was visiting from college.. it is very scary .. my daughter and I caught it the next year and missed out on a great neighborhood Halloween 🎃 party.. it lingered more for her than me..

sending you strength and prayers and good health. Hopefully your son will turn the corner soon and you won’t develop anything. My youngest daughter who lived with me back in January 2022 had it several days before we realized it. Neither my older daughter nor myself developed Covid.

🛐 So sorry to know your father was taken by covid. Saying prayers for you and yours, even your “Idiot Mother” who popped in. 😂 Locking the door is good.

I just came home from family reunion. My aunt called to say by the time her plane landed she was extremely ill and tested +. No one else has. I’m fully vaccinated. If I have any signs, ANY signs, will test again. I do wear a mask in public places again, like we did before. I don’t want ANY strain of this…stuff.

Hoping your son is healing quickly. You always have something clever or funny to say and laughter is the best medicine.

Peace and prayers headed your way! 🫧💟☮️🌎🙏🏻

Will certainly remember you with prayers. 🙏 If your son would use a mask while in common areas like your kitchen, that would be good and it wouldn't hurt if you did as well. Once he is deemed non-contagious wipe things down in shared areas like your kitchen, etc, with some Lysol. Hoping that prayers help to ward things off.

Prayers for you & your son. Just remember to wash your hands wash your hands wash your hands & repeat. When I had it a couple of years ago my Dr told me & my husband to take vitamin C, Zink, D3 & B complex. He never got it but he also washed his hands & sanitized anything I touched. 🙏🙏🙏
