Picture of where I hiked today as previously mentioned

I finally was able to get the picture included from this morning’s hike. The snow is almost gone, was very deep but it is melting down.

You are awesome!! Looks like a beautiful place to hike. Maybe some day in my dreams. we could hike it together.. hubby and I just took a hike into the back yard to check the back fence.. Parts of it blew partially down into the neighbors back yard In the last storm in January. As soon as the price of redwood goes down & we get the two big trees, taken down. We'll be spending a fortune on home repairs!

What a pretty area! I think you have more snow right now than we've gotten all winter. It's been terrible this year, but we did get a good bit of rain, so I think we'll be okay.

I thought of something I wanted to tell you. It’s not at all about hiking! I remembered something that our Maine Coon cat used to do when we were kids. We lived on a corner lot and there was a traffic light there. He was so smart that he learned to only cross the street when he had the “right of way “ to cross! Everyone in the neighborhood knew that he would do that and they took pictures of him with their old cameras! He was the star of the neighborhood! And he knew it too! His name was Gideon. He was so beautiful.

Oh, the girls would have loved to have snow to play in! I loved it when I could bundle the kids up and send them out in the snow. When they came back in, it was hot chocolate time and naps for all of us!

Yes! We had maybe 2 days of that this year, but I had to shovel over the snow to make a hill to play on. They had fun, but it wasn't enough to go sledding or anything. Mine like snow cream too!

I have located some large rocks that are very good for meditation. I call them my meditation tools in nature, although the entire natural world is good for meditation. I’m happy to have moved here. Many good people too!

Over the summer I was hiking up the really steep inclines, but they are still too snow covered for me. I don’t have ice cleats. I am contemplating getting some, as well as some snowshoes for that. I’m going to be patient and see how my health is by next year. My kids always provide those kinds of things for me at Christmas if I request them! Good kids!
