I hike in the morning at sunrise and I tend to take too many sunrise pictures. This is just one of the many pictures I have taken. There are two trails. The one I go on the most is very dry. So I tried a different one. It was lush and green, with a creek running through it. I went deeper and deeper into the “forest” at sunrise. I got the creeps. I felt as though someone was watching me. When I shared this with my good friend, she said that there are mountain lions on that section of trail! Well! No wonder I felt creepy. I have not been back there. I stick to the dry trail! Love to all, Kelly

No such thing as "too many sunrise pictures"! Keep it up, but please stay off that other trail. And carry bear spray or something with you.
wow ...great pictures but you had better check out where you are at and if there are any things that can happen around you ..wow...scary but great picture...be careful...
Nice! Why lions?
Beauriful🙏🏾
Wonderful picture! Ya, it's best to sick to your gut feelings.. they are usually true! Sometimes pretty is not so good.. in many things.. haha
Have more wonderful hikes..
Good wishes,

That creepy feeling while hiking is often instinctual. Somewhere, I read that we humans retained some of the codes that allowed us to survive when we came down out of the trees. These codes are triggered in our visual field below the perceptual level: one leaf that moves differently among the others on a branch, certain patterns or shadows will raise the hair on arms, or give someone an uneasy feeling...but it comes from an age when we were not yet apex predators but were still prey. Other times, that creepy feeling comes from a fellow human met along the way.
That certainly makes sense. I know that I was very aware of a feeling of unease and I listened to that feeling.
That's wise, especially in mountain lion country. My dog and I used to walk a trail with a warning at the trailhead about sightings of rattlesnakes and mountain lions in the vicinity. It was somewhat open, but every once in a while one particular spot would give me the creeps, making me walk a little more quickly. Even in a densely populated place like Los Angeles, occasionally a solo hiker or mountain biker will be attacked by a mountain lion on a popular trail.
It’s great that you walk everyday
Eautiful picture to remember trail by
Hi Kelly, glad you trusted your instincts and won't go back there despite the photo-ops, You must get up very early to hike and catch sunrises. Well done!
Be careful! 🐆
That is lovely but at Minimum, carry a cane with you! (I'm thinking "weapon".)
oh no! that would be scary; glad you're okay.
