A Picture of Pure Joy

Meet Emily, my granddaughter, as she exits her school to experience her first snow in her five years of life. Having grown up in a state where we got snow frequently enough, I was thrilled that my son decided to take her out of school so she could enjoy the experience. This is in Deep South Texas, so this is a huge thing for everyone here!

If we could only continue to see life through the eyes of a child!

Texandyroe she is cute as a button (as they used to say).

Wow, snow in Deep South Texas is wild. Hope she had fun.

That’s great, I remember when my cousin came here to Idaho at 22 years old and had never seen snow ❄️ 🤗 He took so many pictures it was crazy 😜 Hope she enjoyed seeing it⛄️👍🙏😉Ken

Your granddaughter must be a beautiful 7 year old now. Still a nice, innocent age. Do enjoy! And share photos, all the things you grew up with or without. I had the privilege of knowing my grandmother for 34 years or so. Some of my fondness memories when I was 7, 8, 10 and the birth of my children. Going shopping with my mom and grandmother in the store where the saleswoman reprimanded me for not listening for not being quiet not realizing that I was the mom, my mom was the grandmother and my grandmother was the great grandmother. 😍. And they were so proud of their first grandson. I ended up with 2 more snow suits, and other duplicate clothes that I couldn’t repair. Each wanted me to send photos with baby wearing them all winter. The seconds child had too many clothes and toys. Fond memories.
