Do as I Say Not as I Do!

Well, after living with MS for 30 years, I am always telling you not to over due it. Guess what? I did not listen to myself! Last week was crazy busy - we hosted a 50th birthday party for our Son, went to Mexico for new glasses, attended our Grandson's play, attended a 5K that my husband was running and this morning I was so tired I had to lie down on our bed after making it. Guess I just need a "Down" day!

We all do that! My friend calls those days "commercial days." I gave her a puzzled look when she told me that, but she explained that she planned to take the rest of the day to watch movies or TV shows and only get up to do something during commercials! Great idea when we get too tired.

I hope you get back some vim and vigor.

Yep u definitely overdid it hun.......i was the same yesterday I got up at 6am and we had horrendous snow and I drove to Royal Preston Hospital which is in Lancashire in the UK. I had my Tysabri infusion then drove to my Aunties for tea and then got home about 7pm. I was so tired I couldn't function properly so went to bed ASAP! Hope u have rested up and recovered hun and understand completely how u must have felt.......bless u xxx

I wouldn't have been able to do that much 30 years ago and certainly couldn't now. I've had MS for 38 years. I have found that if I've overdone, sometimes it takes several days or more just to get back to where I was, and that's if I spend those days doing almost nothing.

Awe Sue, it's Fancy1959. We all have those days when we know better but we push right pass the know better and do way too much. If you can recover in simply one day you are a better woman then I am! Haha! Take care and don't kill yourself by getting so tired you have a big accident. Until we speak again please take care of yourself! Fancy.

When I have those kinds of days, it takes me at least 3 days to recover. It's been quite awhile since I have had one of those kinds of days but have definitely had them. Take it easy and rest up.

I’m tired just reading about all of your activities, SueAB ! But sometimes we push through the fatigue and all so we don’t miss out on these special occasions, don’t we? I hope a day of rest makes you feel more like yourself. Take care! 💕

You overdid it. I went on a family vacation and I definitely over did it but it was well worth it.

Wow, I'm tired just thinking about all that! I think we are all similar in that respect, I have good days, then spend the next in bed resting up!
