Good friends are the best friends

I have been struggling with my back pain for quite a while now. I had to leave a meeting last night because of it. There were a lot of my best friends there. It was so nice because today I had 5 of them call me to check on me. I feel so blessed to have such good people in my life here. It’s not often that a person moves to a new community and can make good friends in the time I have since I have been here. Also one of them is having his hip replaced tomorrow so if you would please keep him in your prayers, I am grateful. Love to all, Kelly

Thank you. What have you done to your back? 💜

I have no idea. It’s been hurting since last March. I had an ablation done in July, but it didn’t help. Tried chiropractor, massage therapy, now doing physical therapy twice a week. I get injections every month, but now I’m going to get the injections which will be for long term relief , hopefully. We decided that this was probably the next logical step for my treatment. Some people get put under for it, but he said that I will be just fine awake because I do great with all of the injections each month. I usually get between 18-25 every month, at one time. I’m sure hoping for a positive outcome. I don’t let it slow me down much, but sometimes it just gets to be too much.

One additional thing. The only reason we can figure is that the number of kids I had affected my back long term.

My hubby and I have eight kids, which came from my body! Thus, the wear and tear on my back!

G-d bless you. I can only hope there were some twins and triplets

Numbers six and seven are identical twin boys. I have 3 daughters and 5 sons. When the twins were born, I had 3 in diapers for quite a while. Then I had number 8 and had 3 in diapers again for a while! It was a crazy time, but fun. It was fun dressing the twins. We even had to paint their toenails different colors when we brought them home from the hospital to help keep them straight for feedings and such! I kept charts to remember when they were fed and things. Twins are a whole different game.

I have heard that no one is busier than a mother of one! 😀

Sandydemop profile image
Sandydemop in reply toAmore55

that means a lot coming from a mother of 8 but you're correct. it was all Daniel all the time.

Yes, I had a lot of friends who had one child when my kids were little. I swear they were so much busier than I was trying to entertain that child. My kids always had something to do. They didn’t watch television, because we were on the farm, so they could play outside most days. I mean they could watch it, but I tried not to make it a habit. How old is your son?

26. I am very proud of him. He is a nurse. It took a while to find what was right for him but he is settled into a routine now. I can (mostly) stop worrying about him. what about your kids? do they live nearby? My son is 2000 miles away where his girlfriend is in school.
