The Power of Friendships!

Many of us within our chat room have made lifelong friends that will never be taken lightly with others within the chat room. I wanted to remind everyone in the chat room of the power of friendship. Your friends are the one who stay with you through thick and thin. The old adage says you can't pick the family you're born into but you can pick your friends. And boy through the years for some of us that becomes more and more evident. When you have close friends or should I say best friends or should I say sisters and brothers who are fighting the same monster that you are day in and day out that friendship becomes a bond that last through time. It's something about a friend who understand exactly what you are going through the makes that bond of friendship become stronger than steel. Nothing like having that shoulder to lean on, sometimes cry on, and always know it will be there whenever you need it that makes you feel 10 ft tall because you know you always have backup.

They say you can tell a person's character from the friends they surround themself with. If that is so I believe they must think I am truly made of 24 karat gold because the friends I surround myself with are truly priceless. So take time today to thank your friends and to show them how much they mean to you. It doesn't take much to surprise them and make them feel ten feet tall. Drop a simple card in the mail to say thanks or to say thinking about you and it will brighten their day and it will brighten yours as well. Support your friends and they will support you! So again take time today to thank your friends and those you could not live without!

There are countless friends I have made in the chat room and they are too numerous to mention but I would like to say a special thank you to my partner in crime, my fellow CA, Jes, Amor55, and agapepilgrim, who I haven't caught up with in way too long! Feel free to add your thanks in the text below.

Aweee, Fancy1959 what a wonderful post and so very true. My circle of friends in the real world just seems to get smaller and smaller, but my world with our MS Warriors is full of caring for each other.🧡🧡💕💕💕

I have to say, that I don't get personally involved with anyone. It's not anyone's fault, I just have to be objective 🙃

But Fancy1959 was always a call away, when I needed her! Always! And jimeka joined right with me, and anyone that loves white water rafting like me!!! Well I love scyping with her!!! 🤗💕

Oh no Amore55 I had a chance to go when I was living in Alaska! On Mnt McKinley, now Denali. I loved it!!! I never had a chance to get more involved with it tho! But loved going out in the canoe on the rivers every chance I had!😀 🤗💕

Hey ladies talking about white water rafting I've done the Gully in West Virginia on the New River Twice. Once in October when they let the damn out and boy that is a good ride! I have white water rafted in North Carolina and I believe in South Carolina as well. That's about all I had an opportunity to do. And just about all those were done through scouting when I was a scout leader for my boys Scout Troop. And I also did quite a bit of scuba diving when my husband and I were first married. As a travel agent back when I was in my mid-20s we traveled all over the Caribbean and scuba dived at most islands we have the opportunity to do so at. It was a blast! Fancy.

The only place I went as a travel agent was Hawaii, LAX and Seatac bangor and Fairbanks. Fancy1959 I almost got to Greece. But my boss was a well😒 and I couldn't get the time off. 🙁

[Doubled51]

Well it seems like I don’t have a whole lot of friends on the outside world these days. Just my family and the greatest friend I’ve had is my buddy Ricky Towe. Those who have been around for a while remember all the work he put in for me to be driving my GTO. He went above and beyond what most people would have and all because he knew I wasn’t able anymore and he wanted me to have a good dependable classic car. He sold me the car but if anything he lost money on this one

But I guess I joined this forum a little over a year ago and it’s been truly a blessing. So many great people.

But I want to give special thanks to Jesmcd2 whose been there to settle me down or give good advice when needed.

greaterexp who without her encouragement and especially her prayers I don’t know what I would have done.

Amore55 for being a kind friend when I needed one and believe me I’ve needed one a lot. And another whose prayers have been a special blessing to me. She never ceases to pray for me and all of us no matter how bad her situation gets.

Well that’s all my hands will allow for now but I truly thank each and everyone of you for your friendship.

I’m must say I’m can’t believe I forgot my dear friend jimeka who is always there for me with an encouraging word and a prayer. Plus we will always have our Falling Down Club to laugh about.

Yeah and I’m after the rest of the hot wheels Jesmcd2 . I’ve got a million and counting so everybody guard your hot wheels with your life. 😅😂🤣😂😅😂😂😂. Yeah I love my modafinil give me back so much of what the fatigue had stopped me from doing.

Your right there is no way I could list or remember everybody that has helped and sometimes toted me thru this first year of dx. I don’t remember the exact date I found and joined this chat room but I’ll never forget the warm and loving acceptance I received then and still receive every time I need it.

It’s been a great year full of learning and I hope helping others just living with this MS monster.

I’ve always heard that everyday we wake up with our feet on this side of tge grass it’s a good day.😀😀😀😀

I appreciate everybody that’s helped and supported me thru it all.

Oh Fancy, what a fabulous post! The friendships I have made here over the past two years truly are priceless. No matter how hard I try I cannot seem to find time to pm those I so much desire to. Well said Fancy! I’m still relatively new to the group but I could immediately tell what a tight knit and supportive group this is- hence why I’m still here! Since I no longer work and I’m mostly home bound I don’t really have any friends which makes online groups like this so important. I just want to say thanks for being so welcoming and look forward to getting to know everyone more.

Luckymomx2 we sure are glad that you have found us. This chat room fills the Gap in so many people's life because it seems that as we become more more disabled we lose touch with more and more of our outside friends because we cannot keep up with them. So when God shuts a door, somewhere He opens a window.This chat room is our window and it sets wide open to A Whole New Horizon of friendships, laughter, and fellowship! Join right in and have fun while you're doing it! But realize if you need more information or want to address concerns over here for that too! Fancy.

Amore55, reading through the chatter that my post cause makes me realize what one friendships we have established in this chat room. It touches my heart to see the joking going on between members. Thank you for your compliment but every time someone interacts and laugh with another person in the chat room I get the huge compliment also so. It seems I sometimes day too busy doing outside activities to participate in the chat rooms laughter and I sure miss not being included! Fancy.
