My significant other believes the covid vaccine isn’t safe because it hasn’t been around long and fully approved by the FDA. He believes it changes DNA. However, because I shared with him the importance of him getting the vaccine so he doesn’t possibly spread the virus to others (e.g., me), it would be helpful for him to get it. He’ll be “obedient” and get the vaccine, but inside still have these other beliefs about it. Anyone know of sound evidence that suggests it is safe and appropriate to get the vaccine? (Besides what’s on the CDC website)

I have not seen evidence either way ( but then, I'm not looking too hard anyway as I have no plans to get it)
Time will tell what it does or doesn't do, good or bad.
I will be interested to read if anyone knows anything.
This is a Forbes article that goes into some detail about the vaccine not changing DNA. It may help.
My neuro is the best source for me to obtain any info related to any vaccine for COVID and how it relates to 'ms'.
There are vaccines coming out that are not mRNA.
Your SO could be right, only time will tell. It is a completely new technology. No one can know for sure what adverse effects these vaccines may have months to years from now. Also, there likely will be better, safer vaccines in the future.
I have been getting way to much information forwarded to me regarding the Covid Vaccines, from over anxious scientist level individuals. And all reportsPM are good. Though they are not 100% effective, just like the flue vaccines, though so far looks like they will help even if you still get Covid. And all the masking. Social distancing. Hand washing...will still be necessary for at least the next year? But with the new Amazon tags included. Alexa will not stop nagging you if you go somewhere you shouldn't be, or not wearing a mask when you should....all directly sent to the receptors in YOUR brain! No wi-fi needed! Just kidding about the last part, but if they did?
Nobody had died from the vaccine, just the disease. And only 6 people have had a serious reaction!
I do not have any evidence for you to give him about vaccines. What I do know is I have family members who work in healthcare and getting Covid is not some thing anybody wants to experience. The amount of health problems created by Covid if you had it and weren’t even symptomatic is not pleasant. It creates lasting health problems some even similar to what we deal with every day.
Lots of people have that same belief that all is not known ... the chance of getting the virus & then if a person survives it there are side effects that could change a person's life forever & all is not known there either it's a 50/50 toss up the way I look at it. I can't take the flu vaccine but when they gave me the pneumonia vaccine nothing happened I'm flabbergasted!
