I tell my wife multitasking is IMPOSSIBLE. If the phone rings and someone else is in the room, I have to leave. At one of our routine stops, there is NO background music. It is my favorite public place.

Iggyvair I am having more and more problems with that myself. I used to be able to sit and read, in the living room with my husband, while he watched football or anything that did not interest me but now it's to distracting.

Interesting, my husband says I'm not paying attention to him when he's talking, but I am so easily distracted by almost anything.
I think you have many who can understand! This is one symptom I never expected!
Iggyvair, hello and welcome to this awesome chat room as Idon't remember speaking to you before. I'm Fancy1959 and do not fret about no longer being able to multitask. Many people with MS are easily distracted and have a hard time staying on point or focused. Me on the other hand, have no trouble multitasking. But what drives my husband nuts is that I do not multifinish the tasks I begin! SO, I sometimes have 5 or 6 projects laying around that I haven't quite finished yet! My husband hates clutter and I've gotten so bad i have taken over the guest bedroom on the first floor and turned that into my project and excercise studio. Now, if I'd only stop starting my projects on the dining room table..................................!
Iggyvair You describe what I have noticed. In a noisy setting, I cannot talk with even just one person; at home, if I answer the phone, I have to mute the volume on the TV or CD player. I can no longer drive with the car radio or CD on. Talk about a one track mind...
