about 10 days ago I got a numb patch on my thigh about the size of a mango. Just the skin layer really. I’ve bit a bit run down and was wondering if this was related due to a virus. I feel ok now with some sleep etc but the patch feels like it’s not my skin if that makes sense to anyone. Pharmacy to me to take B12 and put warm bottle on ten mins then cold peas for ten mins to stimulate the nerves.
Any ideas

My whole left leg thigh is numb and I know exactly what your talking about with "patch feels like it’s not my skin"
I have had a c5/C6 acdf, basically they take the disk out and put a spacer in its place and your all done.
Unfortunately the patch of numbness has stayed and its all to do with the nerves.
I was in a bad car crash and and the numbness was there after that.
If you've not injured anything, then I'd say to the doctor.
No doubt it will not, be anything to worry about and the cold and hot is a good idea.
It can take a long time for the nerves to grow back to normal. "In some cases years" it doesn't sound like you need to worry, mention it to the doctor though.
I just mention getting a scan because, I kept leaving it, after the crash for years. Eventually it had been "pressing on the nerve for so long" that it probably wouldn't ever heal. It hasn't.
As long as its staying the same size and not getting bigger then it's probably something like the tight belt.
