I can't get past my past mistakes. Always go back in my head all my mistakes and things I may have said that could hurt people unintentionally of course. That it one of my many obsessions.

Maybe you're hoping that if you keep dwelling on past mistakes and lament over them you may eventually find peace of mind. However, by doing that instead of learning from past mistakes and turning the page, you risk losing your freedom of choice because it becomes your only source of comfort in life.

Suffering may have a redeeming value, but only up to a point. When it's disproportionate to the deeds in question, it loses its meaning. It becomes a sign of an inability to get over past errors and psychological rigidity.

Have you done any research on moral scrupulosity OCD?

Maybe you have. Maybe you haven’t. Those are feelings. The fact is no one has brought anything to your attention. If they ever do you can handle it then. 🩵
