Does Luvox work for anyone who has tried every other kind of med with no luck?

I've had ocd for 10+ years. It's been awful. I lost my husband 3 years ago because of it and one of my adult children cut me out of her life. I have tried every anti-depressant available I think and several anti-psychotics and the SSRIs were at very high dosages and nothing has calmed my ocd. I started Luvox last week which I requested my dr that we try and she was hesitant since so many others have failed me and they have labeled me treatment resistent. Even Benzos don't help calm my ocd anxiety. I am doing i-cbt therapy which is great and the trick as many of you know is to sit in the discomfort of your anxiety caused by the obsession and resist the compulsion (mine is reassurance and researching). Anyway I have been told by other ocd people that it's much easier to do the work of resisting if you have a medication that helps take some of that severe anxeity away. Anyone have luck on Luvox and at what dose? Thanks

Hi. I take Luvox, 100mg in the morning and 75mg at bedtime. The Luvox 75mg only works because I also take Effexor with that. When I take the 100mg Luvox, AM, it doesn't seem to help much because of not taking the Effexor with it. At bedtime, with both Luvox and Effexor, I feel almost immediate relief. It doesn't take the OCD away completely, but it definitely helps.
