Scared

Hello, I see a new Dr. And go back to work tomorrow.I just hurt my foot/leg really bad, my pet fish died, my friend died, I moved out, and appliances aren't working.

I keep trying SO SO hard, but this is too much exposure for me right now. Needed to vent here as I think I'm pushing my friends away with my anxiety.

Cheers!

Sometimes we go through rough patches like you're doing now, and we can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. But hang in there, that too shall pass.

Today was weird, but still going!

That's a lot to be dealing with. Losing a pet and a friend - these really do knock you back, so give yourself a little grieving time. And don't feel you have to 'get over it' and snap back into normality at once.

I know how frustrating appliances that don't work properly are. I've got a house full of them! They really set me off. So I completely understand.

Come here to vent when you feel the need.

I thought it was going so well today! Got back to work, had a great Dr. Appointment. New meds. Then I got a call from HR saying I can't come back, after a release from my Dr. Saying I can.

They keep giving me the run around for my mental health, and even going against their own suggestions/advice:(

I didn't have a panic attack though! Just spinning, because I actually feel ok. Confused

That's rotten, but good on you for avoiding the panic attack. Is there any way of getting HR to let you back?

I hope the new medications work for you.

Long story short they admitted they were in the wrong. I'm getting paid this week and now go back next week. Was so ready to get back to work, may be time for a new profession. I keep trying for them and it's benefiting them much more than I now. I wouldn't be the first to go but finding work is also freaky right now.

Doing ok considering. Just trying to settle down a bit. And not overthink the situation...

I'm glad you could go back to work! I am sorry about you losing your friend and your pet fish. Both of those things can be hard to deal with, but you seem to be a strong person and you can get through this! Maybe you can get another fish, too. Pets are comforting and make us feel more at peace I think; I think a lot of times they can ground us. What was your fish's name, if you don't mind saying. I think it's important to recognize the loss of a pet, because I don't think it's realized a lot by others who don't have one how hard it can be to not have them anymore. I just wanted you to know I sympathize with you and I hope you feel better.

I named him Leviathan, we do think that he got caught on one of things in his aquarium. I did assume I killed him at first. I never thought I would try to bring a fish back to life, but I definitely tried for a little too long. He was super smart though!

Got a Dr note to have an emotional support animal now. I had a dog before I moved, and she helped lots.

Tolerating the new meds well, started them today.

Thank you for your reply. I hope your night goes well!

I would have tried, too. I'm glad you can have a emotional support animal now. I have a cat named Li'l Bit who is my emotional support animal. It didn't start out that way, but since I have him, I can't be without him because I love him so much and he is my everything. He helps me immensely to get through my days, too. I hope you have a good night, too!

So pleased they rethought the situation and and that you are getting paid and can go back! It only adds to the stress if you haven't got money coming in.

Pets really do help us - I should really like to have a dog again, but at the moment it's a bit too expensive. Not so much the buying of a dog (rescue centres are great - and I don't really care about pedigree - dogs are friends and I don't ask my friends for a pedigree!) but the care and vets' bills. Perhaps I should consider a fish. They are, as you point out, much more intelligent than we often give them credit for.

I'm also waiting for a bit better financial situation before adopting. And also agree about rescues :).
