Hello,I am Sahil.I am suffering from OCD for the past 5 years.I had different types of problems. But one issue I am facing is difficulty in imagining and visualising things in my head.I am a student of science and as a result I have to visualise things in my head.I want to visualise properly.
Lets say I am trying to visualise that
1.A line is rotating anticlockwise.I want to see that video inside my head that a line is rotating 360 degrees centered at a point. What happens is that I fail to rotate the line fully.I feel that a large opposing force is acting in the clockwise direction as a result of which I am unable to rotate the line.
2. Two planes(2D planes) are intersecting each other.I want to position them at a certain angle fixed in my imagination picture. But they dont stay there. As if a large force is acting between the two and the angle between them increases. The main point is that there is always something acting opposing to the thing I want to imagine.
I feel immense problem in visualising these and playing these movies in my head. There is always a disturbance involved. What is the solution from this problem?

Are you seeing a therapist and talking medication?
I think it's okay if you can't hold visual images in your head. It's hard to focus when you're stressed. For now, until you get this figured out, draw the images on paper. Get some nice colored pens and it will be enjoyable. Since you're a scientist, I'm sure you have a steady hand 😊.
Hey I have the exact same problem (for the most part). For example, before my ocd was this strong I could imagine anything that motivated me. Like my favorite fictional character batman saving Gotham, or watching my favorite signer perform at a concert, etc. Now I always have a thought about someone molesting children (which is obviously gross and scary), and it feels like I cannot imagine something peaceful or inspirational.
