Is a person with OCD considered Neurodivergent?

I've been Googling and it would appear that most people WOULD consider people with OCD to be Neurodivergent. But there doesn't seem to be a consensus. I'm not looking to be able to argue with "Bloody Neurotypicals". I'm just wondering because it brings a new dimension to my pet demon that I've been living with for 50 years.

Neurodivergent/Neurotypical isn't an accepted term medically, everyone by nature is different mentally so calling someone neurotypical, would not be accurate because they don't have the "average" physiological/psychological processes others do.

If by 'neurodivergent' you are referring to autism, then it's certainly the case that many autistic people do have some measure of OCD.

But that doesn't mean that having OCD means that you're autistic. I'm not - and nor are many other people with OCD.

At the moment it isn't really known what causes OCD. Although autism does appear to make people vulnerable to it, that doesn't make autism a pre-condition.
