All the time. And I know this can sort of straddle the grey area between ocd and social anxiety. My therapist helps me at least sort of tease it out by helping understand how much time am I spending thinking about it and am I doing mental compulsions (I have pure OCD)
People come from many different backgrounds so will have many different opinions and we have to realize we will not meet up to everyone else’s expectations. But instead God calls us to love everyone, including enemies. Jesus said,“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven…” Matthew 5:43
So all you can do is show love to others the best way you can with your heart vulnerable to God to change you and then see what happens. Some people will not like you, but if you are being respectful and kind, then it doesn’t really matter what they think because you have shown everything in your power that you care for them.
God sees your effort and will reward you for that.
I know that I do experience this a lot, and it’s not fun. I’m sorry that you’re going through that. I’m not 100% sure if it is OCD or not, as if you are not doing rituals or compulsions then I don’t think it would be. It may be a form of social anxiety though.
But no matter what, just remember that you are the only one who holds yourself to a perfect standard. Even though it may be hard at times, never stop believing that you are worthy of love.
I'm not an expert but honestly, I don't think it's OCD. I'm originally from Eastern Europe and it's very common for us to be concerned with other people's opinions. This changed a lot for me when I moved to the States. I hope that helps
