You have provided an excellent description of Pure O. I particularly appreciated your point about dreams - which often contain weird, inexplicable content entirely unsolicited from conscious desires. So it is with my intrusive daytime thoughts; they are entirely non-representative of who I truly am. Thank you for making that parallel.

Yes, back when I had my OCD it helped when my therapist pointed out that we are the observer of thoughts, the conscious mind tries to analyse those thoughts and the thoughts that come up from the unconscious mind - don't really have any meaning, so we should avoid trying to apply any!
