PVC Plumbing

Hello! I’m wondering if anyone has PVC plumbing in their home? Currently living in an apartment building that was built in 2005, and concerned about possible lead in PVC. I know there are current standards, but I’m not sure if they applied in 2005.

My home was built in 2005, I have no idea what type of plumbing I have, how can I find out? Are you concerned of lead causing OCD? Your question made me Google it and now I’m questioning it. This never crossed my mind.

So, I can only see that the sink plumbing is PVC. I have no idea about about the underground plumbing. And no, I have OCD/anxiety and one of my fears/obsessions revolve around lead 🙃

I don't have an answer to your PVC question. Came to say that I can relate, to an extent. I have obsessions about carcinogens to the point where it is preventing me from eating properly. Hang in there!

You too! I hope it gets better for the both of us. My problem is that I stay Googling these things and scare myself. I feel guilty if I don’t, in a way because it’s my responsibility to protect him.. even if he ever comes into contact with something lead contaminated, I feel guilty 😞 But, it’s everywhere.. I don’t know how I’m supposed to protect him from it all. That about sums up my fear..
