Have you heard of partner focused OCD? It’s in the family of ROCD (relationship OCD). Essentially, an individual struggling with this may focus on aspects of their partner that really cause a lot of anxiety and obsessions. It can make them doubt the relationship. It can be their intelligence, physical aspects, and many other reasons why the relationship may not be right for them.
Let us go through what partner focused OCD looks like and how to do the treatment.
I’m currently going through this sort of thing. I was very happy in my relationship for just over a year and then one day I woke up and it hit me like a freight train. What if I am unhappy and don’t love him anymore? I have been obsessing and ruminating over this for 2 weeks now. It’s so draining and I don’t see an end to it. I am struggling and have convinced myself I can’t be with my loving boyfriend. It’s soul-destroying and no matter what I do I just can’t get out of my own head.
