Anxiety/Panic stricken for 7 years now.

I take Effexor/Wellbutrin/ Buspar.

I haven't had my meds adjusted in a while.. and today I had to have them adjusted... there is such a weight on me that I haven't felt in a long time.

I hope the new med changes are a positive. I get the feeling that there's a weight on you. I have delt with OCD for so long that it feels interwoven in every part of me. I am just now beginning to try to untangle the mess and separate myself from my OCD thoughts and behaviors.

There's hope for both of us. Nice to have a place like this for support.

I don't know if this will help but my doctor told me about a DNA swab test that will tell you which type of SSRI meds work best for your particular genetic make up. My insurance covered all of it but even without insurance I believe its only $200-$250. I had previously been on Paxil CR, Wellbutrin, and Zoloft—none of them worked. I finally feel like the new one I'm on is working. It helps with the depression but not so much for anxiety. The test results give you a 3 column list of worst, medium and best meds for you. The 3 mentioned above were all in my worst column. My doc said my body was metabolizing the meds too fast. Hope this helps—I'll pray for you. God bless!
