Manipulation and harm thoughts

Does anyone have intrusive harm thoughts about manipulating someone into a vulnerable situation? I read something on FB and it triggered a bad thought about tricking a therapist into doing certain exposure therapies and the harming them in that situation, and now of course I’m spiralling and thinking that it’s something that I want to do when I know in reality I don’t.

Do not interact with the thoughts.

Just observe it as an OCD thought.

The thought will lose importance and fade away.

The more you resist, the more it will persist.

Try to sit with the anxiety.

I know it is not easy, we can just keep trying.

We are here as a support for each other.
