Hi all

I need some help and advice if possible. I live in the UK and currently work. I have a 8 yrold child who is at school.

I am under review with the hospital just incase the protein level spikes up..I was .1.8 last Yr now gone up to 2.6..so I know its creeping up.

Its so stressful thinking I have achild and am a single parent and what if it did turn to cancer what would happen? Not a nice thought.

I work part time at work 18.5 hrs but work is been awkward..my son depends on me picking up and dropping off at school.. I go work and catch infections then I'm ill and by the time I recover its time to go bk to work again..my issue is that its stressful and mentally draining..I work 3 days they saying they won't let me pick my child up on my lunch due to business needs..I go work and want to work until school time and then work from home after..I see everyone doing this but for some reason they coming down on me like a tonne of bricks.

I need advice is there anything I can do im stressed as it is and they adding the stress saying pay for after school clubs which I can't afford and work until 5pm in the office..I just want to picking up at 3.20 the work from home.

Sorry this is a problem as its making me more ill and adding pressure on to me I'm stressed as it is..pls help with advice if you can..can work help with mgus and make life easy for me??

Thankyou for your time

Sadia

Have you spoken to an employment lawyer about your employer's refusal to make reasonable adjustments to your working pattern? You may have legal cover with your home contents or motor insurance. If not ask citizen's advice as they may have a legal clinic.

I have been in a similar situation with my line manager phoning me at all times of day and night, when I was on holiday and even when I was at a family funeral (which she knew about). In the end I had to change employment which was awful financially but my mental health improvement was priceless.

hello Summer133, I am so sorry to hear that your employer is being very unsympathetic and unhelpful. This information on our website will help you mpnvoice.org.uk/living-with...

If you have a Human Resources department you should speak to them about this situation for advice, and if you are a member of a union they can also help you.

I hope that you get this situation sorted out soon. Best wishes, Maz
