I've been told that I will need to have cataract surgery in the near future. Has anyone with PV had any problems with this procedure?

I am also due for the cataract surgery at some point. The MPN Specialist has no particular concern about the PV for this surgery.
Hi, I have had cataracts in both eyes removed with no bother. Mine replacement lens did cloud over later so I had to have follow up laser treatment - again no bother at all. I have PV and take hydroxycarbamide and aspirin. No adjustment to my medication for the cataract removal or laser treatment. Hope this is helpful.
I have had PV ahead of my cataract surgery 3 years ago. There were no problems. However, I asked both my hematologist and opthalmologist about my elevated platelets at that time (I forgot what was the elevated PLT number at that time); and both specilaists provided "go" signal. No complications at all. All the best for you!
I just had my 2 nd cataract surgery today with no issues at all. I have PV as well. My GP and my Hematologist said it would be fine to have it and it was. No worries!
