Thought I would ket you know, that I received my letter from the ONS this morning which states that the OmniPATH tm SARS-COV-2IgG test which is CE marked by the medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Authority which looks for Antibodies to the spike protein made by the virus, showed I was positive for antibodies which is good, but unfortunately they did not say by how many, but presume because this is an on going study until next year with both swabs and blood test I will not know other than the Positive result, but I am going to try and find out just how many I have. But on a plus side I suppose as time goes on if they start to wain this will show up, and hopefully once the booster is given in the Autumn it will trigger them again, but I still feel that my husband and I had the virus last year in Jan and Feb we were both really unwell and the vaccination has triggered more antibodies to the virus 🦠 lets hope so. Just thought I would let you all know.

Thanks, Jean. I really appreciate you sharing this information. I am reading all the articles about the efficacy of the vaccine for folks with MPN's , but hearing the on-the-ground, personal results is what always helps me the most. Kim
Hey Jean that's encouraging news, ,though I know you haven't got the full picture and I don't know if antibodies are greater in someone who's had both Covid and vaccines but makes sense I guess. Thing is there's quite a bit of doubt circulating about blood cancer / compromised immune systems leading to negative tests so good to get a positive. Keep Calm and Carry On Staying Safe 😃.
Hi Jean. It is such a relief to find out that we have at least some antibodies isn’t it. They do not know yet how the number of antibodies present relates to the degree of protection but maybe the research will give us an answer to that in time. I’m happy to know that I have at least some antibodies to help in the armoury to keep me safe. Stay well. Jan
