Hello Grumpy, try Staysure , it is the one I use when I go to NZ as they accept MPN'ers just my current one in place ready for my next trip in November to NZ.

Hi bordeauxgirl

Thank you for you reply, that’s a great help. Just got a few trips to Europe booked. Haven’t ventured long haul yet, bit scared. How do you go on travelling to NZ? My husband wants to book for Australia but I keep putting it off. I have ET Jak2 pos.

Regards

Jackie

Hi Jackie, I am glad to have helped a little, I go to New Zealand every two years to visit my son ,Grandson and partner.

Today I actually received a birthday card from 'Staysure' they are well up to date as my birthday is tomorrow. Made me laugh. Price is very competitive too, but you must declare [EVERYTHING ] or it will be null and void if you claim and it is not the truth.

This year I will be also going to Australia (Perth ) first as well for a week, to visit some girlfriends (old girls ) who I haven't seen them for 16 years, then it's on to New Zealand which is almost my second home now. I love it there. if you haven'r been to either you must go . I love Perth so much. Such a nice city, beautiful surroundings, If you go to NZ then 'Hobbiton' at Matamata, central North Island is an absolute must, it is where 'Lord of the Rings' was made, the village built for the hobbits is fascinating, whatever you decide, don't sit on your hands wondering , just go for it.

I now go on my own as husband can't travel, his loss.I have PV JAK2+.Mention your meds too.

I go with Emirates , cattle class out, Business back. ROll on Novemeber. Best wishes June.

Thanks for the information, Perth is a place we want to go to visit family. Do you have stopovers or go direct flights? That’s what worries me sitting all that time, I know you can get up and walk about, but not a lot.

Hi Jackie, You will love Perth, if anyone says stay away from Kings Park , don't take any notice it is really nice, it is high above Perth city and wonderful views of the largest natural harbour in the world. I travel on my own normally, cant be doing with stopovers , Stopovers take time out of your trip anyway and I treasure my time as I can only go every two years, pensioner and all that. As well all that unpacking and packing again too much effort needed for my condition and I have done so for the last 8 years, my husband has heart problems and other health related so prefers to stay at home. I travel straight through, as I am always too excited to see my son and grandson and sons partner. This year will be different as i will see my two best friends in Perth, one has plans to do God knows what and the other lady is a little older and more sedate. If you have time in Perth take a coach tour to Monkey Mia. It is a wildlife sanctuary up the coast of western oz and is wonderful, it will be a longish trip but well worth the effort. Enjoy. June

I was with Staysure for many years. I always take an annual policy and this year changed to Get Going, £70 cheaper than Staysure and everything covered.

Hi. Travel insurance is so variable - so much depends on their medical screening system. Avanti and MPI Brokers are certainly worth looking at too.

Not what you're looking for?
