I have just taken the courage to join Health Unlocked! I was diagnosed with ET at the age of 81 and am still here at 86 thanks to Hydroxycarbamide! I hope I never have to have another BMB as it was agony both during the procedure and for several days afterwards! I have been interested in reading about your experiences. Thanks for sharing them.

Hi Cindy,

Welcome to the club. I have recently joined myself and very much enjoy having a place that I can turn to when I need some support or questions answered. Glad to hear a positive hydroxy shout out.

May your blood draws always be painless

Welcome to this forum Cindy. I hope you find it helpful. I found 13 years ago that as I learnt more from forums like this the more I stopped worrying. Knowledge and information that I didn't necessarily need came in handy later when things changed. It pays to be informed when we have rare diseases. I have PV so I have different needs to you but ask your questions, there is always someone who knows something.

Good luck. Mairead
