Travel Insurance

My travel insurance is due for renewal and the company i'm with, 'Insurance With' have doubled the cost from £300 to £600 for the next twelve months although my condition has not changed. I have tried 'Travel Insurance 4 Medical' as suggested by someone on here and the result was that they cannot insure me and gave me another company called 'Free Spirit' who have also said they cannot insure me.

This getting ridiculous annoying now but I will keep trying :-(

Try stay sure. I have just renewed at £222 with them for an annual policy covering ET, heart problems, arthritis and diverticulosis. Good luck

Try insureancewith.com

They are a no frills company and deal with patients with cancer etc very well. Great prices

I too have MF along with type 2 diabetes and over 70. Staysure refused to insure me despite being with them for a good time. I was able to get cover with Allclear travel and have been quoted £390 for annual insurance for my partner and myself

Hope this helps

I use Benenden Travel Insurance. Benenden is a charity and offers health cover for less than £10 a month and also travel insurance. I have Essential Thrombocythemia and a range of other problems and my annual insurance last year was in the region of £150 I think. Its a bit dearer if you are not a member and don't have health cover with them. They have been brilliant and paid for lots of tests etc. last year before I was diagnosed.

I have tried these insurance companies for PV and they have all said No (but I have a benign brain tumour and blood clot in brain as well so it may be these). The stumbling block seems to be if you are having ongoing treatment. Good luck.

Finally got insurance with 'insurancewith' 12 month multitrip, Europe and Spain at a cost of £376. They wouldn't do 'World Wide multi trip' so the best I could get.

But I can upgrade to 'World Wide multitrip' per trip as necessary at an additional cost.

Thanks for all your comments and suggestions.
