Critical illness

Ok another question can I ask you all when you took out your critical illness cover and when you were diagnosed.

Also whether they were comprehensive or basic cover

Just been talking to my insurance guy re my polycythemia my policy etc

i took mine out years before diagnosis, it was a comprehensive policy i believe

I have none now.

I would be interested to know if its something you can take out again, but maybve exclude PV

I took out comprehensive policy index linked, 17 years ago through Scottish amicable. The policy was sold on 4 times and eventually I claimed through Phoenix life. I've been paid out with an insurance form completed by my consultant confirming MPN, PV diagnosis. This took 2 months from start to finish.
