Rux and constipation

eat prunes regularly ,or figs in summer when easy to pick off tree,!Better than buying meds for it..5 yrs for me been the best result.Good Luck.
Prunes are contra indicated for me. But I take psyllium husk which seems to help. I had the opposite trouble with IFN.
Hi kiwi fruit works for constipation. Good luck!
Thank you. Do you eat the the whole thing including the skin?
No, remove skin. It worked very well for my mother after taking codeine.
4 years on Rux and constipation ever present though I confess it's been with me all my life. I have also followed a Mediterranean diet for the last 4 years which has been beneficial managing both my weight and the constipation issue. No matter what I eat or don't eat, and exercising regularly, my bowels do not want to be regular. I have come to accept that this is normal for me.
Acceptance! Not my best thing really but I’m a work in progress as far as constipation is concerned! Thank you for your reply.
Magnesium oksida will help.
Drink enough water every day
A spoonful of first pressed olive oil daily can help. Good luck
Thank you. Olive oil is so good for you isn’t it? Haven’t tried it on its own though. I’ll give it a go!
Yes it is good for you. A Turkish doctor told my brother to take olive oil daily whilst in hospital after his op to avoid constipation. She said that is what they do in Turkey and sure enough he didn’t😅and ended up with pessaries up the bottom
I've struggled with IBS constipation for my entire adult life, and Rux only made it worse. I've been taking 290 mcg of Linzess (linaclotide) for about 6 months, and it really helps.

HiBreakfast
I have 2 good tablespoons of organic Greek yogurt, topped with pre simmered defrosted forest fruits, blueberries and blackcurrants., topped with 6 prunes ( in juice not syrup) and fresh blueberries.
Alongside drink 1/2 to 3/4 litre still water
You can buy frozen berries in packs in Tesco or I would imagine any supermarket. Empty the lot into a big pan don't add water, and cook very slowly don't boil.
Make sure you drink at least 2 1/2 litres water a day
Good luck

Well it might not work for you!! Worth a try though x
