Some of the many hidden difficulties of involuntary childlessness can be social isolation, exclusion, shame, and grief for a loss that society doesn’t recognise. World Childless Week brings together many different people and organisations and makes it more likely that someone struggling finally discovers that they're not alone.

World Childless Week worldchildlessweek.net/ aims to raise awareness and provide support to those who are childless not by choice. Each day explores a different element - for 2022 they are: Our stories, Childless and single, A letter to my younger self, Childlessness in the workplace, Comments that hurt - ‘It’s all In God's plan’, We are worthy, and Moving forwards.
