I am so sorry you had to do this and by god it hurts doesn't it. You know you did the right thing but it doesn't help much.

I have only had cats but always cried buckets when it was time for them to go so can relate to this.

The only dog I have ever really known and loved was my sisters lab/collie because I would take her for nice long walks every day. I loved the very bones of her and her me. She was a most wonderfully happy dog and loved everyone.

One evening she just dropped dead with no warning or anything. She was 7 and a half. Both of us went into complete shock and even now 4 years later say WTF.

I do emphasise with you as it is the worst job in the world to have to put our beloved pets to sleep. I still think about all mine and hope to see them all again when I go to Rainbow Bridge to collect them. Do you know that work? If not I will put it on here for you. It is very comforting. You did what you had to do for the pet you loved and it was the last service you could give your beloved dog. Hugs ((((((Mammamia 12)))))))

I'm so sorry for your loss. A loss I've seen & felt afew times now which never gets any easier because we love them so much.Sometimes I feel guilt aswell as grief. Should I have taken them sooner? They're so good at hiding when something is wrong.

I've lost dogs & cats. 2 cats in the past 7 months which were both shocks. They got sick & had to go within days of showing signs. One was 10 & the other was 12 so young for cats.

Just know that you gave your dog a loving home & was there til the end. They are no longer in any pain.

I do believe they stay with us for at least awhile & decide if they want to go off over the bridge.

I know it's very early but when you are ready, another wee dog to care for would really help in your grieving.

You have suffered a massive loss, never feel like you are overreacting in your emotions because they are our babies.

Feel free to message me anytime & try to remember all the wee funny moments you both had x
