Sertraline is the only antidepressant that works for me. It takes the edge off anxiety but I do still take .5 mg klonipin a few times a week or if I know I’m going to feel stressed. You are on a pretty low dose so the side effects shouldn’t be too bad. I’m currently on 175 mg sertraline daily. The side effects consisted of feeling dizzy, tired, head shocks, and vision anomalies. However, I’m not suicidal anymore and I can function! It’s well worth the side effects - just give it time to work its magic. I no longer have any side effects. My advice is to stick with it!

I take 200mg daily, I started out on 100mg and I was quite lucky not to have any real side effects or if I did they were too insignificant to remember, I've been taking them for over 10 years. I take a lot of other medication so I'm not sure if this is why I was spared any side effects but when I tried Citalopram the side effects were bad enough to make me stop cold turkey which I would never advise, always consult your GP before trying to come off of any medication. I wouldn't say that I'm happy but I actually want to be here now which I didn't before and as for anxiety I can now leave the house which before these was an impossibility. I'd definitely recommend trying these and giving them a fair go and as the previous person said it's quite a low dose so I'd think that if any side effects will be unlikely or very minimal. Good luck.

I’ve been on Sertraline for 6 years as I have Clinical depression, I started on 50mg and then working up to 200mg. It’s good for depression and Anxiety and is probably the best one to manage as other meds can be very hard to manage. So please don’t be afraid to try it but as always start low and build yaself up depending as ya mood improves or not. But bare in mind they can take 8-12 weeks to start having an effect so please don’t be put off as you will not see results straight away. Good Luck and Take Care.

I started it years ago. It helped for a long time. But then I switched doctors and she took me off it and give me Wellbutrin. My depression started getting worse so she added the sertraline back, at at 150 mgs. Along with the 450 mgs of Wellbutrin. It didn’t help me at all. I am now on the Wellbutrin and fluvoxamine 100 mgs. I have seen some favorable results. I think the only side effect I remember is being more tired. So I took it at dinner time. Good luck
