I have to force myself to get out of bed every day since past 2 years. My studies are suffering, my health is declining n I Just keep sleeping, hoping that something will change when i wake up. I try to plan my day but i never follow. Don’t feel like going out or talking to anyone. I’ve disappointed my family n friends and I can’t seem to find a good enough reason for being like this. They assume m just lazy.. there is no motivation in life, nothing that excites me anymore. I wanna study but i’ve this fear of failure and I get anxious as soon as I open my laptop. I just don’t know what to do..

Hi Armillaria, 🖐 Thank you for your post 👍
It seems to me that you have a variety of clinical depression which needs a professional diagnosis and treatment.
I recognised most of your symptoms as similar to mine.
The reason why I use the term variety is because although there are diagnostic manuals e.g. DSM-5 to help the health professional, the recognised symptoms can form in over 200 combinations.
If you are studying, then a confidential student assistance program could be your first port of call.
A doctor or psychologist can help you with a clinical diagnosis and discuss treatment options with you.
You can do some online searches for information about major depression and also on preparing for the 1st appointment with a doctor which can be a bit overwhelming. You might even like to print off your blog as a conversation starter.
The appointment will cover quite a few things so be sure to book some extra time.
Wishing you all the best as you learn more about depression and its treatment.
Regards from me in Australia 💜🦘
