Treatment resistant Depression

Hi I have been a member for a couple of years, but had forgotten about the site!

Unfortunately due to the resistant depression and anxiety which I suffer from, my memory is very poor - As well as having had ECT several times.

I think that perhaps there needs to be some serious campaigning done by all the Mental Health Charities, as the NHS is now denying Care and Support in the Community to a huge number of people - Anyone in fact, who is no longer considered to have an "ENDURING" Condition. I have been trying to get them to actually tell me exactly which conditions are included in their redefinition of the word enduring!

So far I have not received any explanation - despite contacting the NHS Corporate Office, my Consultant Psychiatrist, and other NHS agencies.

This is actually really important, as I believe from what I have found out so that it is going to include a very limited number of illnesses, and there are going to be 1,000s of people left with no support.

Enduring is generally persistant so if referring to mental health your Doctor will be looking at your condition is not clearing or getting better . You mention seeing Specialists, fair enought have they tried to talk out your condidton and possibly given medications to help you ?
