Dear Friend, it’s ok to feel the way you do. Life is just too complicated. I’m sorry that you are suffering. Please don’t lose hope. Things will get better. You are not alone.
I have been feeling down lately too. But there was a time when my mental health was at an all time low with severe anxiety. But since being started on medication, things have been improving. These days I remind myself of the progress I have made since then and this helps me be grateful for even the tiniest mental peace that I have right now.
I have also started practising spirituality which helps A LOT. I searched on the internet and found that there are studies which show that people who practice spirituality have better mental health. When I feel like my mind is restless, I seek spirituality. Dear Friend, may be there is a bigger purpose for the universe. Let us hope that there is a higher power out there who loves us all and will take care of us no matter what. I like to think of that higher power as God (you can refer to it as the universe, it doesn't matter really). When I feel overwhelmed, I tell myself, " God has a plan for me". I would like to say the same to you, " God/ the universe/ a higher power has a plan for you too my dear dear Friend". God has it all worked out for all of us. May be the pain that we go through will make us better human beings. No matter what, it will all work out in the end. We are all in this together.
Great poem. There is some hope there. " the light dims".... but it's not gone. It was there it will come back if you don't lose hope.
Thoughts can destroy us. You do have the power to " lose the grip" of those negative thoughts.
None of this is easy. It's hard and it's scary and it can't take all we have to continue to fight.
I made a commitment to myself, This was not going to take me out. I was going to do everything in my power to fight. I fought hard.... the light came back.

I wrote that poem a few days ago. I’ve tried so hard to keep the bleakness away. Now I’m lost in it.

You need to consider the reasons why you feel the way you do.
Are you having problems at work, school or college ?. Also are your problems domestic, or have you lost someone you love ? Look at the reasons, then talk to your Doctor, take a written list explaining your problems it will then be easier for you to explain your needs and expectations. Are your worries to do with lifetime worries and fears, like death or illness
Hi I used to write everything down also some of the darkest yet most powerful poems and look back on them now to remind myself how far I have come that was 6 years ago.if possible maybe tweak your poems or writings into more posive side adding bits you want to change and want to see in a few years.dont give in to your thoughts as that's all they are thoughts if you can try to imagine the dark thoughts like grey clouds they will pass and the sun will shine again.
