We're a familiar enough with the medications we take and average limits along with fda max limits. I was curious if anyone here is prescribed abnormally large doses of any psychotropic; one pharmacist told me 40mg of Lexapro is not unheard of. So whatever medication you take, if it's an abnormally large dose, please share your experience with it (ie side effects, how long it took to taper up to that dosage, etc). For example, is anyone on here taking 150mg adderall, 8mg Xanax, 800mg seroquel, etc? It would be interesting to find out what are the real upper limits of these medications.

Highest Dose Survey
Generally some GP will give a lower dose of a medication then increase the dose after a given time to the actual working dose He recommends. Your dose of a drug and level you take it is worked out by Specialist or Doctor. Higher doses may be given although they may change the medication you are taking.

Since these medications all work in different people, differently, I am not sure if there really is a ceiling for some.
Dose, frequency or strength will vary with most patients, we are all different because on occassions time can also come into it. I explain best I can below.Comparing notes can give people the wrong idea of what they are taking and taking or making comparisons is difficult. What suits one will not good for others. Comparison doses can also be difficult to compare

Hi Bob,
Everything you say is correct. I am asking in more of curiosity sense. Of course all our individual pharmacokinetics are different. Ambien stimulated me like it was meth. Just wondering also for the sake of research. I've heard of Lexapro 40mg, adderall 200mg. So I really am curious to hear of any outliers out there.
