My heart aches for my brother. I am looking for family help groups. Any suggestions?

I had a look on line at a few websites to do with mental health - they seem to have lots of resources for people who want to help but couldn't find anything about support groups for family, but it may be worth trying to contact a charity like Mind to see if they have anything or any ideas. There is a forum for carers on HUhealthunlocked.com/care-com...

but I don't remember anything similar to your question on there,

There may also be a group for carers generally in your area and they might have some pointers.

Hello I've just seen your post and it is exactly what I have been looking for without success. If you have found a support group please let me know. My brother had schizophrenia and sadly passed away last year, however I would like to join a group to discuss issues around being a family member and dealing with issues around that. Many thanks.

Hi-sorry for the delay-I'm from England. Isn't it sad that a large country like USA and here in UK we can't find a support group? I'll keep looking and if anyone else sees this post and can recommend anywhere that would be great. Relatives of the mentally ill are under great stress and emotionally drained and really need support-and this is useful if it comes from like minded people with similar experiences. Take Care.
