Hi. I have been on Seroxat for depression & panic attacks for about 20 years now & I must say it totally changed my life & I wouldn’t be without them for anything! I would definitely be dead now if I wasn’t on them even though I feel guilty taking tablets for some reason!

Hi I am 25. I have been dealing with anxiety and depression for some years but I’ve always been able to manage. As of recently the last week or so it has been really bad. Multiple panic attacks a day, I feel nervous, scared and anxious from the moment I open my eyes.. just wondering how long the meds took to work? We’re you on different ones ? Life is really hard right now dealing with this. I cannot function

Has your Doctor tried to reduce or stop the medication.

In my case with my disability and my Reactive Depression I will be on them for the rest of my life. I am seventy now. I was happy when they reduced the dose by over fifty percent

My doctor never tried to reduce my medication but I tried to get off them myself & couldn’t do it as it made me feel so terrible/ I am resigned to the fact I am on them for life now & nearly 70! I am ok with that though!!

I am seventy as well on my Birthday I went through large reduction of my medications especially Opiates and AD medications, some of the drugs like Statins were also reduced over a period of several months. The problem as we get older the body does not need so much medications. The problem is when we get older we need to allow space for other medications we may need as we get older.

Generally remember your Doctor is in partnership with you when it comes to your health and medications we need
