Alternatives to SSRIs?

I've tried all sorts of different ones: Seroxat (Paroxetine - probably the best one for me but causes sun allergy and other side effects), Sertraline, Prozac (nightmare), Citalopram and, currently, Escitalopram (10mg). I also tried an SNRI but had a horrendous experience on that (Venlafaxine).

Seroxat

I'm currently cutting down from 20ml to 10ml now 5ml I've been on seroxat for 18 years. The only withdrawal symptoms I'm getting waking up to to pounding in my ears and head . Im not sure if this is high blood pressure. It's really annoying. Anyone else had this. Or am I coming of them too quick

Depression

I have been on Seroxat for depression & panic attacks for about 20 years now & I must say it totally changed my life & I wouldn’t be without them for anything! I would definitely be dead now if I wasn’t on them even though I feel guilty taking tablets for some reason!

Why do I feel so bad

I have had a problem with pressure in my head for a couple of years and I have been taking 30mg Seroxat all that time. A couple of times I suddenly realised it had gone, like a miracle, and it was gone for several weeks, but it came back.

Adjusting to my new meds

My psychiatrist told me to stop Zoloft gradually and put me on Seroxat 20 mg with gradual increasing doses and kept me on Venlax 75 and Depakine 500 mg chrono. However, I feel like withdrawal symptoms either from Zoloft or from the new medicine.

Psychiatrist visit

After having severe panick attacks I visited today my psychiatrist who told me to taper off Zoloft gradually, stay on venlax and depakine and instead of Zoloft take seroxat which is stronger than Zoloft. Seroxat would help me sleep at night because I haven’t been sleeping a lot this summer.

Getting off meds

So, I made a deal with my therapist to stop taking Seroxat. I took 20mg from the end of January to the beggining of August, and then I had half a tablet (10mg) untill some days ago. Now I have half a tablet every other day. Can I experience withdrawal symptoms with this?

I feel as if I'm breaking down

I was put in Seroxat and thing were better during the 5 years I took it. I decided to quit over 3 years ago and that was a dark period of my life as well.

Geographic distribution of members and using what names for drugs you take!

E.g. generic drug paroxetine has trade names which include Aropax, Brisdelle, Deroxat, Paxil, Pexeva, Paxtine, Paxetin, Paroxat, Paraxyl, Sereupin, Daparox and Seroxat. So ideally have: venlafaxine (Efexor XL) along with dosage per day It would IMO make things much clearer between all of us.

Newbie

I’m 21 years old, I also have Hashimoto’s and panic disorder for which I’m taking Levothyroxine and Seroxat/Paroxetine. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice for treating PCOS, does any diet/medicine/way of living that helps with balancing hormones and symptoms of PCOS?

Immune to seroxat after taking it for years

I have been on Seroxat 18 years 20mg. I have become immune to it! When I take 30mg it feels just like it did when I first started it. Has anyone increased?

Can we discuss medication?

I’m taking Seroxat 20mg and Xanax 0.5mg daily. I had severe side effects with Prozac, which I had tried before.

After 8 years of using seroxat for my anxiety, 2 months ago I had to come off it very quickly due to lowered heart rate(bradycardia) (recommendation by cardiologist).

Practical question

I am tapering of Seroxat so I got liquid form of the medication. I am flying home for Christmas and don't want to put my medication in big luggage in case it gets lost . But smart luggage that I take on board can not contain any liquid . Do any of you know how to do it? Thanks

Desperate for help, slow heart rate and Seroxat

Is it even the small 5mg seroxat causing this? Could Pregabalin be a last resort for me? 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
