Anxiety

My anxiety has got bad again. I had it under control with cbt sessions. Sertraline dose was put up to 200mg but I don't see that they help, now have been given propanalol in addition. Does anyone else take these?

When it comes down to medications we are all different so what does one good may not be a good choice for another. I have been on my medications now for many years and sad to say I am now seventy and will need to take a reduced dose for life.

Depending on how long you have been on the additional medication it takes about five weeks to get used to the medication on top of the original drug.

Are you still having CBT ??

Me too Sertraline 200mgs just make me sleep or brain numb. My does went up from 100 mgs to 200mgs because my panic attacks were uncontrollable. I was either be a zombie or cut the dose so I went back to 100mgs and was given the Propanolol to take either before entering into a stressful situation or after the initial heart racing and can't breathe part of the panic attack. They take around 10 minutes to work but they do calm the panic attack symptoms. They are beta-blockers but are also used to help with panic attacks. I wish you well x
