Negative thoughts
anything to distract yourself go a walk put on some music read a book anything.
I can’t
Why not?
What are these negative thoughts? Are they just lies and untruths that want you to believe something is true that’s not? Is something troubling you that you may need to speak to a therapist about?
Distraction, changing the channel. Ideally you want to to turn the sound down of the negative noise. The longer you sit still, the longer you give power to these thoughts the longer you’ll stay in this constant ruminating thought process. You need to break these cycles when they come. It’s changing behavior and your reaction to them. Learn to mediate, breathing exercises, actually go out and do a little physical exercise like walking (even if walk around outside your home), put in some ear bud and listen to your favorite music. How about go onto YouTube and look up silly videos, nature videos. Read a book, etc. Better yet, journal these thoughts and channel them on paper or your tablet, this unloads them out of your head and onto another outlet.
Your focus needs to be directed somewhere else.
Just can’t yes they are
You can let them consume you or work towards not letting them do that, but I recognize negative thoughts are telling you that you can’t.
