I was previously on bupropion aka Zyban for depression some years before moving to the UK. I am in a bad place mentally right now but my gp won’t prescribe be bupropion. I’ve tried other antidepressants like fluoxetine and sertraline and neither helped me. But Zyban made a huge difference in the 6 months I was taking it. It’s also what my siblings take so there is a genetic component
Can anyone direct me on where to find a doctor to prescribe it? I’m in London.

Hi there and welcome. Sorry but I haven't heard that one before, so I can't comment on it. Did your Dr explain why he wouldn't prescribe it, maybe it's not recommended in this country. Has, he put u on another antidepressants, because if he has, you need to give it time to work. Good luck and I hope your feeling better soon.
It's off label in the UK, so difficult to get. (It has a licence as a smoking cessation aid only. ) You can sometimes get it on the NHS, and sometimes from private doctors, but they will mostly refuse. It exposes them to more risk to prescribe off label, and protecting their own backsides, well that's the important thing.
It's one of the few, if not only antidepressant that doesn't destroy your libido and works differently in the brain than other meds and most importantly, it really, really helps people. For some of us, it's the only antidepressant that works, so while it's not NHS approved for depression, the NHS is not the end all and be all authority for mental health. Hell, the NHS won't even properly treat my thyroid (even as prescribed and agreed upon by my NHS endocrinologist), so I don't hold their opinion on best medications in high regard.
