Hi Kieran

Who may I ask told you to change the way you took your meds ?

It happens that fluexotine by my experience should be taken in the morning.

Then there are other anti depressants that should be taken at night.

To be honest I wouldn’t change them unless the doc says

I guess you decided to change because you felt you may get a greater experience from them and they may work better ?

I take fluoxetine too, but in the morning, however my mood has been low, easy to anger and high anxiety. I just put it down to the unusual situation we are in regarding lockdown etc

Take care, stay safe.

EDIT - Sorry, that may have come across as being flippant, it was not the intention. I was hoping to convey that I am feeling very much as you described and have put it down to the circumstances we are all in. It is a difficult time to deal with everyday things at the moment without the extra burden of mental illness. Please get in touch with your G.P. or mental health professionals and tell them how you are feeling, there are several places to go online, like Mind etc they may offer more advice to you and certainly there are help lines to phone.

One thing that helps me is a meme I see every now and then on the internet, it says " You have successfully come through 100% of your bad days". I find this phrase a comfort, it says to me that I am strong enough although I do not feel so.

Please stay safe and take care.

Hi

I take Fluoxetine 40mg in the morning. My psychiatrist says it doesn’t matter when I take it. My friend is taking 20mg twice a day. What does your doc say?

Hello

Some Doctors have you taking medications in the morning others in the afternoon.

If you only take one tablet changing from Morning to Evening you will have problems because you are taking the medication in the morning or afternoon because the affect of the drug will have run out at a different time period. For example 08;00am or 23;00pm the difference is between the two times. Ask your Doctor what He prefers and stick to it. The dose in the morning will cover the day, in the evening it will work through the evening and morning into early afternoon. It may also change the amount of drug in the bloodstream to what you were used to
