Struggling being unemployed

I am finding unemployment challenging. I am going out and exercising and seeing friends, but I would like to find something productive to do with my time alongside sorting out work. I would like to perhaps learn a new skill like learning a language. I don’t have enough money for classes and find it hard to motivate myself with books and apps.

I’m unemployed and finding it just as difficult. Although I am now preparing for my master’s admissions, I was even less active than you were, because of a decline in my mental health which requires recovery and daily management.

For me, the toughest part has been the judgment which comes with being unemployed. There’s a stigma and a sense of unworthiness that certain corners attach to being unemployed, even if it is for valid reasons such as health treatment and management.

Hi becominghuman. Yes I definitely agree about feeling judged. I have personally found meditation has helped me feel less judged. What have you found that has helped?

I also had such a period, and I was so scared because from the age of 14 I have consistently had at least some kind of work. And these six months without work was a living hell for me. But this time helped me really understand what I want to do, and also really relax. Moreover, now there are many vacancies that allow you to work from home and not strain too much, for example, as work from home jobs in Birmingham uk.jooble.org/jobs-work-fro....
