Yes it is about to be a new year. A good time to start fresh and set positive goals. But, its also okay to just live for today. I dont usually set resolutions because I feel like I'll be hard on myself if I fail. That is a big misconseption. It is great to commit, to have goals and to seize the oppurtunity to make the next year great. But, its also okay, to mess up sometimes. Not everyday is going to be rainbows and butterflies. And thats okay. Living with mental illness is hard! As someone whose lived my whole life with anxiety and depression, Ive never had an entire year that was 100% the best. Life is full of ups and downs. Lets just strive to be the best we can be. Lets do more of what makes us happy. Lets take care of ourselves but also endulge in chocolate and icecream sometimes. Lets work hard but not forget to have lazy days. Lets practice kindness, patience and acceptance. But remember, its okay to not be okay. Life is short. Try to find peace and happiness. It starts with caring for ourselves. ♡ This coming year, stay true to being yourself because you are worth it. 💕

Happy almost New Year!
Happy new year to you x
I think it's fine to enjoy New Year's celebrations, though I just relax and remember past years with my wife. I like to look back on photos of family and pets. This year I'm entertaining children at a birthday party with my bubble show. Quite the timing for a birthday celebration. Going forward I like to find pictures that display what I'd like to accomplish. For instance, in 2020, I want to donate more money to people and organizations that promote spiritual life in Christ. One is a messianic Rabbi that I know personally. As far as mental health goes, I have a goal of coming off a particular medication and upping my coping skills. It should be a good year.
Hello Sunshine, I am allowed chocolate although not Ice Cream, have not had one now for over three years. When I go shopping I stand by the freezers like a little boy, trying to get someone to buy me one, someone being my Wife.
It is generally sad to say that mental health, controlling it and moving on can on occasions be laid at the Patients door, we should be given the tools and like brushing our teeth it can be down to us. However I do not look at this illness as down to the suffers only , it can be however understood by those around us. We then need to get positive vibes from Health Professionals and an understanding of why we are ill in the first place. Then hopefully given the tools we can help ourselves
