I'm not sure if I'm being lied to or not...

So i met this girl online, and right off the bat we connected because i have experience with self-harm, and she was struggling with it. she told me some things that i found hard to believe, but the general gist of it was that her mother has been a prostitute for a while, and that her dad is kinda abusive and neglecting her. then i got a text from her mom, saying she's lying for attention and that she isn't being abused nor is she hurting herself. apparently her phone was taken for saying those things... the thing is, if those things were true, this mother has sufficient reason to lie to me as well... i don't know who to believe, and since this girl no longer has her phone, i can't get the closure i need. it stressed me out. any thoughts?

Be patient. The situation will take care of itself. She will find a way to be back in contact with you. Try not to stress yourself out on this. All will fall into place and things will get back to normal. Think positive. When you keep dwelling on it the situation with worsen within you and build up. Stay strong.

Best to look after yourself, you are vulnerable person and don't need this kind of attention. Be kind to yourself and think of yourself.

thank you!

Hello Welcome

If this is just someone you met on the web, the person is someone you do not know. Given that you would possibly be Better letting the whole problem go at this time.

Sometimes we need to worry about our own situation before people we do not know.

If She phones or calls on the internet, Facebook, see what is said remembering sometimes we need to be careful what people say to us. You could be on a hiding for nothing

Ok, I mean that's what you know from conversation. You have no idea how much of a teen. Like, 13 or 18, so the mum may be taking the phone for reasons you aren't aware of.

There are two sides to the story, you only know one side.

The only thing you can do is pray she is safe. That's the tough part of making online friendships. Sometimes there isn't closure. People just disappear.
