Hello I'm not New here,i have dealt with depression & anxiety before & eventually things got back on track I moved to another state met a wonderful guy & the feelings of depression started slowly coming back I thought maybe its because I left a big city to come to a small country (city) the environment is totally different but I did this for the peace of mind now I feel so down & lonely here I got family here, where I moved to, I rarely see them, because they love drama & stay in your business type of people I went to visit my kids back at home but the feeling of returning I didnt get which made me more depressed

Welcome newbie...glad ur here with us.

I understand all too well coming from big city to small town :(

Small towns r great IF the people r friendly to transplants.

For me.. HU helps with that and all the great people here.

Hope to see more posts from ya. :)

Hi Bymurdia,

Welcome to this very caring community, I think you will find that there is a good network of support on here, hippolove1 is already showing you that.

Do you have hobbies or interests that you can pursue in your new area so that you can meet new people?

Hope you have or can find people that you can talk to about how you're feeling to try and stop the depression in it's tracks. If you want some self-help advice too, this is a good website, it's a UK site, I'm aware you are in the US.

mind.org.uk

Also, check out the pinned posts on this site, there are helplines for your country and also information that you may find relevant.

As hippolove1 says, keep coming back here to connect with people who are in similar situations and can offer help and advice.

All the best,

MAS Nurse and Moderator
